As one of the southernmost coral reef systems in the world, its vibrant reefs teem with over 1,200 species of fish and an astonishing variety of hard and soft corals, sponges, and other fascinating invertebrates.
Iconic dive sites like Two-Mile Reef and Nine-Mile Reef reveal a kaleidoscope of marine life and striking coral formations, ensuring that every dive feels like a brand-new discovery.
Gentle Giants
But it’s not just the reefs that will leave you breathless— if you are lucky, encounters with gentle giants like whale sharks will blow your mind and the ever-curious potato bass are the highlights of many dives here.
The reefs’ rich biodiversity offers the chance to spot everything from green turtles and electric rays to bearded scorpionfish, boxfish, and rock cod.
Above the surface, Sodwana Bay’s pristine beaches and the untouched beauty of the surrounding African bushveld create the perfect backdrop for an adventure that’s as thrilling on land as it is beneath the waves.
